About the Author

Neal Tringham is a former astrophysicist and Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society who has worked in the UK videogame industry as a developer, and occasional designer, since 1994. Games he has contributed to include Rebellion’s Aliens Versus Predator (1999), Empire Interactive’s Taito Legends (2005), and Sick Puppies’ Ghost Master (2003). In prose, he was an editor of the Bloomsbury Good Reading Guide to Science Fiction and Fantasy (1989) and the contributing editor for games for the third edition of the Clute and Nicholls Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, published online by Victor Gollancz in 2011. His writing has also appeared in the second edition of the Clute and Nicholls Encyclopedia, and in the journal Foundation: The International Review of Science Fiction. Currently he is working on Science Fiction Video Games, to be published by Taylor and Francis in 2014.
